Process
I decided to base my collection on Mykonos, an Island located in Greece.
I created a mood-board from images from Mykonos, as well as symbols that correlated.
I developed the color story based on my mood-board.
I than took symbols from images on my mood-board and turned them into icons, I'd later use in my pattern designs.
I took my icons and turned them into patterns using adobe, and than played with different color ways.
I ended up editing and redoing some patterns after I created my pattern board, based off of critics from my professor and peers.
I created flats of clothing, that I could see being on free people movements website, as well as creating some flats the resembled pieces they have on their website.
I researched materials, sizes, and price points used by free people movement. I than listed similar material percentages and prices points on my line sheets.
Create a spring/summer 2025 collection for an athletic wear company based off a location, using prints made based on relevant symbols to the location.
