The Ask…

Process

My first step for figuring out the aesthetic I wanted at my tea party was to create a Pinterest board. After I knew the vibe I was going for I picked tablecloths, dishes, linens etc that my mom had that most closely aligned to my vision.

My mom and I came up with a menu and teas to pair with the food we served. We made everything ourselves except for the cake, which we always get from her friend who owns a bakery.

I shared my Pinterest board with my friends to give them inspiration for what kind of attire to wear, most years my friends will just borrow my dresses.

We go to trader joes the day before my party each year and buy a bunch of flowers and put together the florals ourselves.

For my 18th birthday party I ordered the white hats seen in the photos and decorated them all to best match each of my friends personalities.

For my 19th birthday I wanted everything to feel very feminine, I utilized the lace tablecloth and tulle bows I made on to get that feeling across.

This year I painted flowers candlesticks, I love to add small details to any project to make them feel more thought out.

My moms friend Chantel made my cake again, this is one of my favorites he’s made for me!

This year I followed essentially the same process as every other year, I changed out the tablecloth and used different decor.

21st birthday

For my 21st birthday I really wanted to go all out, I made an invitation, physical menu, and went all out with the decorations.

I turned a part of my unfinished basement into a sleepover area.

Plan and execute my annual birthday tea party.
